Been a while...

So, its been a while since I last wrote...sorry!

I have been a little scatter brained and tired by the end of the day. Keeping a 3 1/2 year old along with chasing my 2 year old is beginning to wear on me. I know I shouldn't complain and should count my blessings but I just thought I would throw that out there. I have a hernia behind my belly button and if I do a lot during the day, it hurts quit badly. The doc told me that it should get better as the baby moves up and then should go away after baby is born. I guess I could start calling the baby by her name since we know that she is a girl. Her name is Haylen "Reese." Kadence calls her "Baby Reese." Its adorbale.

I am getting so ansy to get her room put together but I still have 3 1/2 months. I would just rather have something to do and plan while I wait...not that I don't have enough to do during the day anyways but I can't seem to get it out of my head. I already have her bedding...just need some accessories. It's going to be so cute! I can't get her room ready until I get Kadence's room done - which is another project I can't wait to start on. Her big girl bedroom furniture is being refinished by my grandfather and isn't quit ready yet. Her room won't be as hard to get together....just need a few minor details. Her room is going to be anitque white ballerina and stars...too cute. It's from Target...shabby chic. Reese's room is a dark hot pink and white damask print...very hip.

Anyways - see where my head is?

We had a check up today and the whole family went (including Savannah). We heard the heart beat and everything measured great and was where it should be. :) She is doing great so far! Come on Reese!

I am trying to enjoy my last few months as a mother of one sweet little girl. I want to spend as much time with her as possible. Mommy and me time is great. We have lots of fun together and have many opportunities since Daddy is traveling a lot with his music. :( That part is hard but I like to keep her on a schedule so that she feels secure and knows what to expect and then Daddy can just pop back in like normal and nothing gets all mixed up, etc.

NEW UpDATE:
So that was several weeks ago. I am no longer keeping little Savannah Grace. We decided that it would be best for her to stay with her grandmother (since she offered - didn't want to miss the oppertunity) because of some family emergencies and needs to be out of town so much in the month of June - I would hate to have to call and say, "I can't keep her for a few days, can you find someone else?" Etc. So we just went ahead and decided to leave her in the hands of her grandmother. We miss her terribly and Kadence is always asking where Savannah is, she calls her "Santa." We hope to be able to see her soon. :(
My hernia is feeling better but I still get muscle aches and pains when I do too much...I think its a side effect stemming from the hernia. But I deal with it and try not to do so much...I am a little bit of a control freak so sitting back and letting someone else clean the house is hard for me to do. I know, I'm crazy. Baby Reese is doing wonderful...moving SSSSOOOOO much...sometimes it seems too much...:) She is VERY active which is wonderful. We are now just shy of 32 weeks...I cannot believe she will be here in about 8 weeks. Unbelievable!
I mentioned before about getting the girls rooms put together and it has almost been accomplished. Kadence's room is put together and so adorable! She loves it....still need to get some things to put on the walls but pretty much done. Reese's room is also put together but needs some things on the walls as well. I have been slowly washing things (carseat, swing, bouncy seat, etc) to be prepared and doing odd things here and there to ease my mind. I have no memory anymore....I have to write EVERYTHING down or I don't remember. It's awful...hope I get that back once Reese is born. ;)
So, we have had lots of family visiting and enjoying playing outside (when its not raining). Trying to soak up every minute of having a family of 3 before we become a family of 4. I am cherishing my sweet baby girl before she becomes a big sister. We are experimenting with potty training again....fun stuff. Its like having a puppy in the house again....pee puddles everywhere. She is doing so well and starting to understand where it should go instead of in the floor. I am getting so anxious about what the day will be like when I go into labor. I would idealy like to be induced so that I can plan on who will be here for Kadence and when things will go down but I know that it may not be an option and we will have to roll with it...I just wish we had family near so that if it were in the middle of the night, someone could be here to stay with Kadence. I can't help but worry....I know I need to just chill and things will work out but its always in my mind.
Another big thing happened this week - my brother is in from Iraq on R & R so that is exciting. He has been in KY with family and friends but is making a trip down here just to visit his big sister....what a sweet baby brother! He and his wife are on their way here to see their neice Kadence. That's all he talks about. She loves her uncle John and Aunt Mindy. We have another doctor appt today but other than that, we hope to be cooking out and enjoying eachother's company while he's here. He leaves Monday to go back to Iraq to finish out his tour so please keep him and everyone else over there in your prayers for safety and protection. God bless him!!!! We are so proud and greatful for him. Love you bubs!
So thats about it...got to get back to the little one before I hear, "Mommy, I peepee in the floor, uh oh!"
Big hugs!!!!!
