So much going on....Guess what?

First of all... "Happy 2nd Birthday to my baby girl, Kadence!"
She had her birthday party on Saturday (Jan. 31) at Dance in Bloom. That is where she takes dance class. Too cute! She has been taking dance for 3 weeks now and she LOVES it! Just like her mommy. The party was excellant! The teacher came in and helped set up (and clean up) and did a 45 mintue entertainment...dancing, playing , tumbling...it was great. All the kids loved it and there was never a dull moment. The cake and cupcakes were great too! It was nice to socialize with all the adults too. All the grandparents made it in despite the horrible weather in KY. My mother (aka Mimi) came down on Thursday because she didn't have electric and didn't until yesterday just as she arrived home. She is one of the lucky that has it...there are still so many without. Keep them in your prayers.
Now let me back up a few weeks to January 14th.
I got up at 5:30 am, like I always do to get ready to go to Savannah's house to start are everyday routine. Before I got in the shower, I thought I might want to try a pregnancy test since I was a few days late...no big concern yet...just curious. I had used a cheap-o because I didn't want to waste a good one and not be for sure. When I got out of the shower...it had two blue lines. Oh my goodness!!! I immediately ran to the closet and got out a good one and tried to go again...and couldn't. So, I waited a few hours until I brought Savannah back to my house to get Kadence ready for the day. By then, I had to go so I tried again. Before a minute had passed, it showed positive! So I continued to wait the 3 minutes your instructed to do and it still said pregnant. So, not even a day later, the morning sickness hit me and the fatigue. I waited another week before calling the doctor just to be sure...so I have my appointment next Tuesday for an ultasound, check up and labs. I am a bit nervous but I know the Lord won't give you anything you can't handle.
To add to the excitment, my mother had told me when I was pregnant with Kadence and was thinking I was having a boy that I was going to have a girl. I didn't believe her until we had our ultrasound that she was definately a girl. So, she had a dream the other night that I was going to have twin boys!!! I seriously think she is crazy this time! I need her to have a few more dreams to confirm this. I'm not sure, but I think the ultrasound next week should reveal if there are two embrios or not...right? If anyone knows, please let me know.
So, back to the present: We announced our pregnancy at Kadence's birthday party through a slideshow of Kadence's first 2 years and then at the end....SURPRISE! It was so much fun to see the reaction. It was incredibly hard to keep it a secret for nearly 3 weeks.
But, we are 7 weeks pregnant and I am starting to feel a little better. Kadence is busy as ever. She can say, "I big sister," but has no idea what that means. We have started telling her there is a baby in mommy's belly and now she thinks everyone has a baby in their belly. She will say, "hi, baby," and rub my tummy and then do the same to her belly and Daddy's. She is so silly. She is talking more and more everyday. It still amazes me. We are working on letters and colors now. She is getting pretty good at it. She catches on quick...like she does with anything she learns.
Well - that is the news for now from the Huff Family. More later.
Big hugs to all and keep us in your prayers!
Thanks so much!
