Wonderful Weekend

We went to KY this past weekend and had such a great time. Kadence sure does love her Mimi, Mawmaw and Great-Grandaddy. We got to spend time with them and some of my friends. I don't get to see my friends as much since we live in TN and they think it's so far away (3 hours...come on guys!) I miss them so much though. Cassie came over with her 2 year old, Wade and Emily came with her husband and baby girl - Natalie (8 months). We had fun catching up and hanging out in my mom's one bedroom apartment, can you imagine? To add to the mix, my grandparents were there. That's 10 people in that small apartment....can you feel the love? Cassie did my hair - she has a salon in Lexington. It turned out great! thanks girl!
Eldon played with his band in Richmond and I got to go see him and be the Rock Star Wife instead of the Rock Star Mommy... (thanks for the quote Rachel!) The change was nice. I used to do that every weekend but now I can count the times I have seen my husband on stage in the past year on one hand. Crazy huh? I miss it but I don't miss feeling like crap the next day because of staying up WAY too late and drinking a little too much.
We got to go out to my grandparents house for dinner on Sunday. It was nice to have some good cooking and spend time with them. Kadence saw some Moo Moo's on the way and we were going to go see my cousin's horse who just had a baby but it was too cold and got dark on us. May be next time. I know Kadence would love it. She rode on one in the early fall at Boyd's Orchard and loved it!
We also went to visit Mamaw Tracey, Aunt Lindsay and Uncle Chris. It was nice to hang out for a little bit. Kadence met Lucy (the kitten) and would get in her face and say "Baby" and point to her feet and say "Feet" She really liked it. I wanted to pet it so bad and hold it but I am allergic. She sat right next to me the whole time though. Aunt Lindsay is starting to poke out. She is due March 9th. We can't wait for baby Carli to get here. I know Kadence will just love her. It will be so exciting!
Well - we are starting our week off great and look forward to playing and finding something to do while it's cold out. We cleaned out our basement last week so that she can play down there on her ride on toys and play with her extra toys that won't fit upstairs anymore. I hung her swing from outside so she can swing without freezing. Hopefully this will be a place to burn off that energy that she is saving up since we can't go outside. It should be nice...we'll see.
Gotta run and get back to the girls....I keep a 2 1/2 year old during the week - Savannah. It's nice for Kadence to have someone to play with and learn how to share. They have fun together but have moments like they are sisters... funny girls!!!
More later.
